Fine Art, Sculpture and Photography Competition

Theme – People and Animals
Age Categories:
Under 7, 7-11 (Y3 – Y6), 11-16 (Y8-11), 16-18 (Y12/13), 18+
Deadline for Entries:
- Photography – jpeg to be sent to comps@sheepfair.co.uk by 10th September
- Art / Sculpture – images to be sent to comps@sheepfair.co.uk by 16th September
- All work will be displayed in the Willoughby Art Gallery over the weekend and an exhibition book will also be created to commemorate the event.
- Prizes will be awarded in each age category on Saturday 3rd October at 1.30pm
Fine Art and Sculpture – How to Enter
- 2d or 3d art is welcome in any media.
- All art should be no bigger than 120cm x 120cm x 60cm in any dimension including the frame.
- Sculpture should be less than 20kg and able to be lifted by one person (4ftx4ftx2ft max).
- Send an image of your artwork to comps@sheepfair.co.uk by 16th September 2026. Include your name, age, the artwork media and dimensions and any sale price in the email.
- Include a short description how the artwork was made to help the judges understand your work.
- New media and cgi images should be included in the Art competition.
- Bring your artwork to the Willoughby Gallery on the 30th September (1700-1930),1st and 2nd October (1200 – 1930)
- 2d work should be in a frame with a hanging string on the back or unframed work should be well supported on a mount or board that can be used for fixing to the wall. Attach a label to include your name, age, the artwork media and dimensions and any sale price on the back of any artwork
Photography Competition – How to Enter
- Send a jpeg copy of your photograph to comps@sheepfair.co.uk by 10th September 2026. (6000x4000pixels or 24mb jpeg max size)
- Photographs can be made using a film or digital camera, smartphone and have strong identifiable ‘real world’ content of people, places, animals, plants, landscapes etc
- Include your name, title of work, and a brief description of how and when the photo was made and why you photographed its subject in the email.
- Bring your artwork to the Willoughby Gallery on the 30th September (1700-1930),1st and 2nd October (1200 – 1930)
- Photographic prints should be in a frame with a hanging string on the back or have your unframed work well supported on a mount or board that can be used for fixing to a wall or display board. Attach a label to include your name, title, brief description and any sale price on the back of the photographic print
The Small Print:
- Entrants in categories (Under 7, 7-11 (Y3 – Y6), 11-16 (Y8-11), 16-18 (Y12/13) must live or go to school / college within a 15mile radius of Corby Glen
- Entrants in the 18+ category must live within 25miles of Corby Glen
- Images solely generated from AI prompts will not be accepted
- All sales of works are to be arranged between the artist/photographer and the buyer, the buyer can receive the artwork from the artist/photographer after the exhibition is taken down from 5th October only.
- Works unsuitable for viewing by people of all ages may not be included in the exhibition.
- Artists and photographers exhibit at their own risk.
- Uncollected works after 7th October will be given to charity or disposed of as appropriate.
- By entering the competition all entrants agree to images of their entries being used in all forms of publicity for the CGSF.
- Each artist is able to enter one photograph and one artwork (2d or 3d) to the competition.
